Job description

Principal Accountabilities/ Key Result Areas:

Site Awareness

1. Develop in-depth understanding of the building infrastructure within your area of responsibility.
2. Familiarize yourself with the critical infrastructure systems including high and low voltage network, fire alarm, lighting, DB, and SMDB.
3. Establish to an educated level the layout of all electrical and pumps rooms and secondary distribution points using schematic layouts and site surveys.
4. Develop a clear understanding of the design and operating principles of all electrical related plant and equipment.
5. Develop a clear understanding of the client occupational layout and the company details.

Workload Planning

1. Develop a clear understanding of the Idama QA procedures and processes regarding engineering documentation.

Operations

1. Perform routine daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly electrical systems maintenance tasks in line with the key account asset register and planner.
2. Respond in a professional and workmanlike manner to all electrical and associated system reactive work projects, i.e., fault finding and rectification projects.
3. Implement modifications to the electrical systems as requested to meet the specific requirements of the clients' business partners.
4. Undertake electrical training and testing to achieve an approved authorized switching status.
5. Report to your team leader on a regular basis regarding workload, quality workmanship, and key issues.
6. Develop an extensive understanding of the methods of work associated with the electrical plant and give advice on enhancing the performance of the equipment.

Customer Relations

1. Establish a clear understanding of the business partners and their requirements.
2. Implement Idama’s customer service charter to ensure excellent customer service.
3. Take ownership and responsibility to rectify all electrical associated works to a level that meets the clients' expectations.

Qualification

1. Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

1. Minimum 3 to 5 years experience within the maintenance services market sector, preferably in a hotel environment, demonstrating sound knowledge of electrical engineering systems, workload planning, customer service satisfaction, and quality workmanship.
