About the Job: Management Accountant

Minimum Requirements:

1. Matric
2. B Com Accounting
3. Completed articles and or 3 years relevant working experience
4. Able to develop new administrative procedures for own department/division
5. Able to manage and control the correct implementation and utilisation of administration in own department/division

Responsibilities:

1. Timeous and accurate month end reporting of divisional results
2. Monthly meetings with managers to discuss the financial results with the business
3. Preparation and review of monthly accounting files - accurate audit files
4. Forecasting for the division
5. Budgeting for the division
6. Variance analysis which may include:
7. Volume trends, revenue and cost per cube by branch
8. Weekly analysis of wage cost
9. Loss of load analysis
10. Value added services - identifying issues that could lead to cost saving and/or improved efficiencies
11. Report negative trends for corrective action
12. Operational report - operational statistics
