Our client is seeking a young professionalParaplannerwho is an investment expert. The primary role will be to support and assist financial planners. The candidate’s goal for the long term will be to become a Financial Advisor.

The successful candidate will assist financial planners and advisers with their daily job duties and support financial planners in interacting with clients more effectively. The candidate will be responsible for carrying out a lot of the background work required for clients who want to help with financial planning.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Conducting Administrative Tasks: answering calls, replying to emails, scheduling appointments, organising client records and data entries.
  • Offering Recommendations: assist in researching investment options, analysing data and providing recommendations and insight to financial planners for the planning process.
  • Writing Financial Reports: prepare analytical reports based on financial data and research so financial planners can make informed decisions and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Supporting Client Projections: Help create financial projections and reports for clients, indirectly support financial planners in their client interactions.
  • Conducting thorough research: facilitating compliance checks, creating suitability reports and answering any technical queries put forward by the client.

Expectations and qualifications:

  • Matric.
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
  • Must have completed Certified Financial Planning CFP.

  • Establishing performance goals and objectives.
  • Candidate should be meticulous, analytical and process-driven.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to summarise information.
  • Fully computer literate.
