We are seeking a Senior Design Manager – Aviation to lead the design and technical execution of a high-profile aviation project in Riyadh. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, oversee multi-disciplinary design teams, and ensure project delivery aligns with international aviation standards and best practices.

1. Lead and manage the full design lifecycle of aviation infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with ICAO, FAA, and GACAR (preferred) regulations.
2. Oversee multi-disciplinary design teams, ensuring seamless coordination between airside, landside, and terminal infrastructure design.
3. Act as the primary technical authority for all design-related matters, ensuring quality, innovation, and sustainability in design solutions.
4. Engage with key stakeholders, including clients, regulatory authorities, and internal teams, to ensure alignment with project goals.
5. Implement and maintain certified management systems while driving continuous improvement and design excellence.
6. Provide mentorship and technical leadership to design managers and engineering teams.
7. Support project planning, budgeting, risk management, and technical bid preparation.

Experience:

1. 15+ years of experience in aviation infrastructure design and project management, with a strong portfolio of major airport projects.
2. Extensive experience managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary aviation design teams.
3. Proven track record in leading projects from concept to execution within an engineering consulting environment.

Skills/Knowledge:

1. Strong leadership and strategic decision-making abilities.
2. Deep expertise in airport planning, airfield design, and aviation regulations.
3. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and risk management skills.
4. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to high-level stakeholders.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AviPlan, and other aviation design software.

Education:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. Master’s degree in Airport Planning, Engineering, or Project Management (preferred).
3. Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) status is required.
