Financial Controller (Armagh)

VANRATH are delighted to be working in partnership with a market leading business based in Armagh to recruit a Financial Controller to join the growing finance team. Reporting to the General Manager the Financial Controller is a newly created role and has come about due to growth within the business.

About you

• Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Strong broad hands-on accounts experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience managing a small high performing finance team

What you'll do

• Finalise and present the monthly management accounts, both on a consolidated and individual basis for all companies
• Develop the monthly management accounts to be representative of each individual profit and loss
• Weekly cost reviews of all companies, providing projections, budgets and cash flow forecasts (specifically target driven for farm managers)
• Preparation and development of the annual budgeting cycles, including reviewing margins and product lines
• Manage the company cash flow and AP function
• Review existing reporting and improve where necessary
• Improve current accounting procedures, reinforce new controls and processes to ensure more timely and accurate accounts reporting
• Oversee the production & development of current KPI reports on sales, products, driving routes, customers etc. ensure they reach management each week in timely manner
• Assist in the production of the annual Statutory Financial Statements for all companies within the group and assist in managing the year end consolidation process for auditor and the banks
