Position: Audit RI Director/Partner

Location: Glasgow

My client, an independent and highly reputable firm of accountants in Glasgow, is seeking an experienced and qualified Audit Responsible Individual (RI) to join their growing Audit and Accounts team as a Director or Partner. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking firm, following a period of rapid audit client growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Responsible Individual (RI) for a portfolio of audit clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead external audits for a diverse client base, including owner-managed businesses.
  • Oversee statutory accounts preparation and management accounts for a range of clients.
  • Provide expert advice and strategic insights on audit, compliance, and broader advisory projects.
  • Mentor and develop a talented team of audit professionals, supporting their progression.
  • Contribute to the business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Play a key role in shaping the future of the Audit & Accounts team, with a pathway to equity for the right individual.

Requirements:

  • Qualified CA/ACCA (or equivalent), with RI status.
  • Proven experience leading audits for a variety of clients, particularly within the owner-managed and SME sectors.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of audit standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership, client management, and team development skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities and contribute to the firm's continued success.
