Connected Search Group are exclusively representing a global manufacturer for a fantastic Financial Controller opportunity.

With over 20,000 employees across more than a dozen countries, this role is based in the centre of their UK operations, managing their finance function, working closely with the site's Managing Director and reporting to the Senior Leadership team.

We are looking for a commercially minded professional with strong experience in a Manufacturing business. The key to this position is the ability to understand the operational functions of the business, in order to determine the effects your financial decisions will have on manufacturing operations. Vise versa, using your manufacturing knowledge to identify and inform financial decisions.

The role:

Financial Management & Reporting

1. Oversee the preparation & delivery of financial statements, management accounts, & reports.
2. Develop & maintain financial reporting systems, providing accurate, complete, & timely financial information.

Budgeting & Forecasting

1. Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads.
2. Analyse performance against budgets, identifying variances & recommending corrective actions.
3. Prepare financial forecasts & models to support strategic decision-making.

Cash Flow Management

1. Manage & monitor the company's cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity.
2. Develop strategies to optimise working capital & improve cash flow.

Internal Controls & Compliance

1. Implement & maintain robust internal control systems, safeguarding assets & ensuring the integrity of financial data.
2. Oversee the implementation of financial policies & procedures, ensuring consistency & adherence across the organisation.

Team Leadership & Development

1. Manage & mentor the finance team, create a culture of continuous improvement & professional development.
2. Conduct performance appraisals, set objectives, & provide timely feedback.

Strategic Financial Planning

1. Develop long-term financial plans aligned with the company's strategic goals.
2. Provide financial analysis & insights to inform business decisions & drive growth.
3. Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

1. £75k - £85k + Annual Bonus + Car allowance
