The Centre of Excellence for Commercial Finance provides all finance decision support and finance business partnering to the business, via direct support into our Agile Tribes and Squads. The team is responsible for all decision support, including pricing and proposition evaluation across acquisition, in-life, retention, and future propositions, as well as marketing, stock, contact, channels, and data analytics & platforms. This includes any analysis to support the achievement of business objectives & key results. Tesco Mobile is on a fantastic agile transformation journey, and the team continually adapts processes & outputs to support this.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on collaborating with collaborators in relation to upgrades, in-life and retention offers, as well as wider promotional offers and new products & propositions.
• Lead efforts to optimize our customer base: for instance, analyzing our base and churn trends to identify value drivers, and collaborating with commercial partners to improve this.
• Produce post-investment reviews to evaluate decisions and derive learnings for continuous improvement, as well as partnering and driving opportunities across the business and our customer base.
• Drive cost efficiencies: pinpointing cost influencers, assessing the value obtained from expenditures, and collaborating with business collaborators to improve this. Leading deep dives into specific cost lines to establish the key drivers.
• Input into & drive the prioritization of initiatives, influencing our commercial tribes & squads to maximize value.
• Identify risks and opportunities for P&L delivery and cash flow, via ad-hoc analysis and outlook/forecast/budget processes as applicable, including the impact of decisions on other parts of the business, whilst proactively seeking to manage and mitigate risks.
• Improve governance around decisions, implementing new controls and driving accountability.

Must Haves:

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience:

• Qualified accountant.
• Strong financial modeling skills.
• Proven experience of partnering with non-Finance team members to accomplish remarkable results.
• Effective communication skills, with a focus on attention to detail and the ability to identify trends & factors to improve optimization.
• Ability to influence collaborators.
• Resilience: not afraid to challenge the status quo and drive outstanding performance.
• Passionate about driving business performance to the next level.
• Knowledge & experience of evaluation of options, and value generation.
• Continuous improvement approach, with passion for learning and applying lean and agile principles.
