Job description

RM Recruit is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded organisation based in Coventry in their search for an outstanding Finance Manager to join their team on a full-time or part-time, permanent basis. Our client offers a flexible and supportive working environment, including a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office per week and the remainder working remotely.

You will support the Finance Director and assume full responsibility of the day-to-day running of the month end processes and reports.

Responsibilities include:

1. Oversee and manage the financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
2. Produce monthly management account packs including P&L, cashflow and balance sheet reconciliations.
3. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, including tax obligations, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
4. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and governance.
5. Lead on audits, both internal and external, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available.
6. Manage financial risks by implementing effective controls and monitoring compliance with relevant policies.
7. Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations.
8. Stay up to date with changes in financial regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring proactive adaptation.
9. Supervise and support the finance team, fostering professional growth and development.

Person Specification

1. Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the third sector.
2. Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
3. Technology: Proficient in financial management software, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and MS Excel.
4. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
5. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving capabilities with a proactive and strategic mindset.
