Job description

The Role: This is a part-time role (approximately 3 days per week, salary £40k-£50k Pro rata) designed with flexibility in mind—perfect for someone seeking a balanced work-life schedule. You’ll be responsible for managing our financial operations, including bookkeeping, reporting, budgeting, and analysis. Your contributions will directly support strategic decision-making and help drive our business forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate bookkeeping records
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Maintain aged debt within agreed levels
  • Lead and manage, and maintain current financial information system and seek to improve utilising own experiences.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to guide business strategy
  • Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and regulatory bodies as required
  • Collaborate with leadership to align financial strategy with business goals
  • Manage payroll across the business
  • Set up bank payments

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping (experience in a similar role is highly desirable)
  • Extensive experience using Xero
  • Relevant qualifications (AAT, ACCA, or equivalent) are an advantage
  • Strong understanding of UK financial regulations and standards
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy
