Role overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Operations Manager to oversee the various aspects of the supply chain as outlined below.

In addition to its global sourcing and manufacturing business, and its subscription business, Craft Gin Club also operates an online store. This store sells a range of gins and gin-related products.

The fulfilment activity is located within our larger subscription business distribution centre.

We are seeking a Supply Chain Operations Manager to help with the end-to-end supply chain involved with the online store.

Responsibilities will include:

• Service - Agreeing and documenting costs and service level agreements with the 3PL distribution partners
• GOTM Dispatch management - Overseeing consolidation & dispatch activity. Ensuring that the 3PL is dispatching orders on time, in full and within budget
• B2B Dispatch management - Overseeing consolidation & dispatch activity of global B2B orders
• Logistics - Arranging cost-effective and efficient transport logistics, to ensure products arrive on time and in full.
• Analysis - Analysing data sets and reporting performance to senior management, ensuring all orders fulfilled by our 3PL & Carrier are invoiced correctly
• HMRC - Oversee maintenance of duty records, deferment account and drawback claims

What we’re looking for:

An individual who is comfortable working with operational partners. Someone who enjoys the cut and thrust of operations (ideally within a retail setting). An ambitious go-getter who’s used to whipping operational partners (warehouses and carriers) into shape. A person who can identify how we can improve operationally and someone who is comfortable, confident and tenacious enough to push those improvements through to completion (even if it means having some tough conversations). We’re looking for someone who can really contribute to operational improvement.

Experience and qualifications:

• Ideally min 2+ years experience in a similar role
• Experience of B2C fulfilment and shipping highly desired
• Experience managing high volume third party relationships (pick, pack and dispatch)
• Used to setting, and working with, demanding operational SLA’s (e.g. pick and pack success, late orders, lost/damaged in transit etc.). Should be familiar with the day-to-day running of operational facilities.
• Team player
• Good negotiation skills (comfortable negotiating costs and working with budgets)
• Highly numerate (must be confident with data and Excel)
• Good presentation skills
• Experience of dealing with alcohol duty and bonding would be a big plus (but not essential)
• Must be comfortable in a dynamic, “start-up” environment (we’re a big company but we act fast)
• Love of gin is a plus!
