Our Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Engineer/Scientist to join our Materials and Corrosion Engineering Practice in our London office. The successful candidate will have a strong background in materials science, electrochemistry, and failure analysis, with experience in both laboratory and field environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to conduct hands-on failure analysis, field inspections, materials testing and analysis, and collaborate with clients on material-based problems with real-world applications. The long-term objective is to contribute to business development and client acquisition while maintaining an excellent level of technical support to our clients.

You will be responsible for
  • Conducting hands-on failure analysis
  • Planning and executing laboratory tests
  • Conducting field inspections
  • Working with clients to develop, evaluate, and improve their products
  • Communicating effectively with other engineers, technicians, managers, clients, and administrative staff
You will have the following skills and qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Materials Chemistry, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Corrosion or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within project teams with a strong desire to contribute
  • Specialized knowledge of materials characterization techniques (e.g., SEM, FIB, TEM, EDS, XPS, Auger, SIMS, FTIR, acoustic microscopy, X-ray)
