Overview
The Unique Opportunity:
Due to continuing company success and expansion plans, the European Mobility Practice is seeking to appoint a Advisor/ Senior Advisor. The Mobility division of Frost & Sullivan (www.frost.com/mobility.com) is one of the largest and fastest growing Practice Areas within the organization. The Frost & Sullivan Mobility practice provides global market intelligence to execute key growth opportunities and tailor-made advisory services within the automotive and transportation industry. The successful candidate will have a passion for the automotive sector serving clients who are amongst the world's leading manufacturers of vehicles and components as well as the suppliers of these manufacturers. Frost & Sullivan partners with some of these leading industry players by providing them with key strategic information helping them identify new strategic growth opportunities and grow their businesses.
You will be expected to manage and complete strategic growth advisory projects for the major clients in the automotive and transportation sectors as part of your job. While you will be fully responsible to ensure that projects are completed according to the agreed-upon scope, timeline, and budget, you will also serve as the client's primary point of contact, so you'll need to exhibit a high level of industry knowledge and construct reliable business relationships. By presenting comprehensive business and market strategies to the top people in the automotive industry, you have a one-of-a-kind chance to contribute to the future of mobility.
Responsibilities
- Execute tasks related to consulting projects such as market due diligence, competitor analysis, business model development and evaluation, market entry strategy, distribution and value chain assessments, and the identification of new business opportunities.
- Identify relevant strategies for clients based on insight.
- Develop project management plans that incorporate project resources and anticipated results.
- Plan own/team workload according to project timelines to ensure high quality & on-time project delivery.
- Present consulting project outputs to key client stakeholders.
- Complete high quality tasks on time and under budget.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including market insights/industry teams.
- Participate and help in the preparation of consulting proposals for our clients active in the automotive and transportation industry.
- Proactively develop and manage client relationships and demonstrate expert industry knowledge.
- Collaborate with marketing communications team to follow up and take part in industry events, trade shows, and fairs.
Essential Attributes
- Strong analytical skills with sound understanding of and passion for research and consulting.
- Thorough understanding of market intelligence and research methodologies.
- Consultative thinking, focus on delivering the story, not just the data.
- Exhibited interest in at least one aspect of the automotive and transportation industries, such as commercial vehicles, new mobility, automotive retail and aftermarket, vehicle systems and technologies, autonomous driving, and connectivity.
- Ability to forge close working relationships with a commercial acumen and analytical mind.
- The ability to work autonomously and also effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent presentation skills and public speaking capabilities.
- Proactive thinking.
- Organized, outgoing, and capable of delivering tangible results in a fast-paced and creative environment.
- Attentive to details and showing strategic insights in the delivery of research findings.
- Demonstrating personal qualities that include being a self-starter, fast-learner, visionary, and pragmatic.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and German.
Qualifications
- A degree level education or equivalent in Business Management or Engineering preferably Mechanical, Automotive.
- Fluency in German and English is required for this role.
- 3 to 8 years of experience in strategy consulting or market intelligence.
Desirable:
- A post-graduate qualification is an advantage (e.g. MBA or a Masters/PhD in a relevant technical subject).
- Fluency in other European languages is a clear advantage.
