We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our client's team and expand their existing HTTPS-based system on AWS. The current system automates software/firmware updates for CPE (Router) devices. Your task will be to integrate on-prem Tunnel Endpoint (TE) servers with this system, enabling automatic updates of TE servers in multiple POP locations.

What else you should know:

• The team consists of less than 15 people, including an architect, project manager, Python, UI developers, DevOps, and UX designer.
• We use SCRUM/Agile methodology.
• Our tech stack for the project includes: Python, Django, PostgreSQL, React.
• The client is based in the US.

As a part of the project team, you will be responsible for:

• Integrating TE servers with proprietary system for update automation.
• Developing Python scripts and tools on AWS systems and TE.
• Updating PostgreSQL database to support upgrades.
• Resolving Linux environment issues.

As a Senior Engineer, you must meet the following criteria:

• Excellent knowledge of Bash and Python.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Good knowledge of Cloud-native tech, especially AWS.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Linux systems.
• Good knowledge of English (B2 level).

Beyond the criteria above, we would appreciate the nice-to-haves:

• Good knowledge of computer networks (TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, OSPF, VRF).
• Good knowledge of SDN and NFV.
• Experience in working with distributed systems.
