The Front Desk Associate serves as the first point of contact for members and guests ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. This role includes handling membership inquiries, assisting with check-ins, processing payments, and maintaining overall customer satisfaction.
Greet members and guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Assist with member check-ins, registration, and guest passes.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about memberships, class schedules, and facility services.
Address and resolve customer concerns efficiently, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Provide information on membership plans, promotions, and fitness programs.
Process new memberships, renewals, and cancellations.
Handle billing, payments, and account updates.
Promote additional services such as personal training, classes, and retail products.
Maintain an organized and tidy front desk area.
Monitor access to the facility, ensuring only authorized members enter.
Assist in scheduling fitness classes and personal training appointments.
Keep accurate records of attendance, memberships, and daily transactions.
Ensure compliance with gym policies and safety regulations.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness and order in the reception and lounge areas.
Report any maintenance or safety issues to management.
Support special events and promotions as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or business is a plus.
Previous experience in customer service, front desk operations, or the fitness industry is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills (experience with gym management software is a plus).
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for health, fitness, and wellness is a plus.
