Regional General Counsel, IMEA

In this role, you will be responsible as a Legal Counsel and member of the Process Automation Regional legal team in IMEA, to ensure support to the assigned Process Automation (PA) businesses. The work model for this role is onsite in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Developing close working relationships with internal customers and stakeholders including management.
2. Providing cross-border legal support across the Process Automation Business Area.
3. Assisting in contracts, agreements, consortiums, and joint ventures.
4. Reviewing bids, negotiations, contracts, policies, and other legal documents from vendors, customers, and third parties ensuring compliance with policies.
5. Supporting business in managing contractual claims.
6. Promoting activities to ensure compliance with directives and local laws.
7. Implementing the compliance/integrity group program.
8. Providing training to employees on contractual matters.
9. Raising and defending litigation matters using relevant external experts.
10. Ensuring that all external legal advice is provided in a cost-effective manner.

• Bachelor of Law degree from a reputable university.
• 10+ years of working experience in a major corporation and/or in a leading law firm.
• Demonstrable experience dealing with both common law and civil law issues.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
• Team-oriented, solution-oriented, and pragmatic.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with business clients.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
