Job description

Role Purpose

The Business Relationship Officer (Micro-SME) will be responsible for acquiring, managing, and nurturing relationships with micro and small to medium enterprises. The role involves promoting and selling a range of banking products tailored to the needs of Micro-SMEs, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving business growth targets.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Identify and onboard new Micro-SME clients through various channels, including direct sales, referrals, and networking.
  2. Promote and sell Mbank's suite of products to Micro-SMEs, including Wage Protection System (WPS), Free Current and Savings Account (CASA), Business Debit Card, Cheque/Invoice Discounting, POS (Point of Sale) Loan, Letters of Guarantee (LGs), Trade Finance Solutions, and Business Insurance.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
  4. Ensure the bank's charges/terms and conditions are clearly communicated to all customers.
  5. Source applications by doing front-end customer due diligence and collect a complete set of documents required by the bank.
  6. Ensure the documents are verified and checked for completeness/validity to avoid later rejections in the process.
  7. Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets set by the department.
  8. Ensure all activities comply with UAE laws and banking regulations.
  9. Stay updated on market trends and competitor offerings to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
  10. Prepare and present regular reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and market conditions to the line manager.

Skills and Education

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Strong understanding of Micro-SME banking products and services.
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  4. Proficiency in using digital banking platforms and CRM software.
  5. Knowledge of UAE labor laws and banking regulations is a plus.
  6. Fluency in English and Arabic is highly desired.
