My client is one of the largest Ad agencies with 29 offices across 6 continents. They are looking for a Copywriter who can be based in Abu Dhabi.
This job requires to perform several functions, including content research, creative writing of a product or brand for promotional purposes, and analysis of visuals for best content. You must have creative instinct, be organised
As a Copywriter you'll be responsible for taking a client's advertising brief and generating original copy ideas that grab the attention of the target audience. This can include creating straplines, slogans, body copy, jingles and scripts. Usually working on multiple projects, the typical creative process can involve:
1). meeting with account executives to discuss the client's requirements and core messages
2). familiarising themselves with the product, target audience and competitor activities in the market
3). brainstorming ideas and concepts for the visual and words with other members of the creative team
4). presenting initial ideas to the creative director, some of which may be rejected or developed into workable concepts
5). writing various copy options, which may be presented to the client as a story board (a consecutive series of frames 6). depicting the script and drawings that may be used)
7). modifying copy until the client is satisfied
8). overseeing the production phase, booking and liaising with designers, illustrators, printers, photographers and production companies
Accuracy is essential. The copywriter and art director are accountable for checking all the content being advertised is truthful and complies with codes of advertising practice. Although proofreaders may examine the final copy, copywriters are also responsible for checking spelling and grammar.
Experience Guidelines:
1). Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Journalism, English or Communications
2). 3 - 5 years of copywriting/editorial experience in an advertising or marketing environment
3). Portfolio/writing samples
4). Should have a background in a multinational Ad agency
