Assistant Accountant jobs in Italy

One of the oldest and leading logistic service providers with operations in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe seeks to hire an Accountant for their office in Jebel Ali.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist in completing monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports within the set deadline.
2. Prepare P & L and Balance Sheet schedules, wherever applicable.
3. Reconcile Inventory, Supplier and Customer accounts.
4. Fixed Asset accounting and maintenance of asset schedules.
5. Assist in compiling information required for the business unit’s MIS reports.
6. Book all Invoices after ensuring that they are supported with proper approvals, documents such as POs, GRNs, etc., and supplier advances are adjusted before making final payments.
7. Maintain listing of accounts payable and Post-dated cheques.
8. Prepare Bank payments after checking the authenticity and adequacy of supporting documents and approvals.
9. Reconcile bank balances with the statements of accounts received from Banks.
10. Process all petty cash payments and be the custodian for physical cash balance.
11. Promptly account all the Bank and Cash receipts.
12. Prepare manual cheques as and when required, and record all cheques.
13. Intercompany entries should be promptly accounted and IC reconciliation completed every month.
14. Assist in preparation of schedules and work papers for quarterly and yearly audits.
15. Apart from the duties and responsibilities listed above, any other additional duties as advised by the superiors from time to time.

Educational Qualification & other requirements:

1. Bachelor / Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting.
2. 1-2 years accounting, audit or finance experience.
3. Experience in Oracle Hyperion, SAP or similar ERP.
4. Working knowledge of MS Excel.
5. Languages: English, Arabic – Native Speaker.
