Senior Accountant

We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant with 5-7 years of experience in accounting and finance, particularly within the UAE. The candidate should possess strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple financial functions. The role will involve overseeing financial statements, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and supporting management with accurate financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable / payable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, manage VAT filings, and handle tax-related queries.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify variances and suggest improvements.
• Manage the companys financial documentation and maintain accurate records for audits.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Stay updated on financial laws and regulations applicable in Dubai and the UAE.
• Provide strategic financial advice to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (essential).
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting roles within the UAE.
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations and financial compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems).
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other financial analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
