Java Backend Engineer – Microservices, AWS & Batch
Job summary
A global consulting firm is seeking a Java Developer in Singapore to develop and maintain Java-based microservices and batch programs, ensuring high-quality code and compliance with SLAs. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Java, experience in an AWS environment, and familiarity with unit testing frameworks. Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Java development with experience in Spring, Spring Batch, and Hibernate.
- Experience in AWS environment, configuring ECS task definitions and using AWS SDK.
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, and PowerMock.
Responsibilities
- Develop Java-based microservices for UI backends and external application APIs.
- Build and maintain batch programs for processing large data volumes.
- Perform troubleshooting and performance tuning to meet required SLAs.
- Conduct thorough unit testing to ensure code quality.
- Work with Business Analysts to support defect fixes and enhancements.
