Assist in the administration of corporate insolvency and restructuring engagements, which include (i) liquidation, (ii) receivership, (ii) judicial management, (iii) scheme of arrangement, (iv) monitoring / special accountant and (v) debt restructuring. Responsibilities include (list not exhaustive):
• Assist in the preparation of letters, notices, emails and reports
• Take control of the business premises and assets, followed by realisation
• Information gathering from books / records of clients and third parties
• Indexing and safekeeping of books and records
• Recovery of debts
• Adjudication of creditors' claims
• Investigation of past transactions
• Assist in the financial review and preparation of restructuring proposals
• Attend meetings and preparation of minutes of meetings
• Clarifies issue(s) / problem(s) to be addressed and communicate clearly and timely to supervisors
• Coach and guide junior team members, and review their work
• Ensure timely reporting to supervisors and all timelines are consistently met
Requirements:
• Degree in Accountancy, Law or other professional accounting qualifications recognized by ISCA
• 4 to 6 years of experience in corporate insolvency and restructuring
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights and construct solutions
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
• Strong leadership, mentoring, coaching and communication skills
