Overview
Functions as an Avionics Technician, specializing in aircraft electrical systems. Conducts unit-level maintenance on aircraft electrical, navigational, and avionics components, adhering to the specific aircraft Operators Manual, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, Check List Manual, and customer or specific directives. Diagnoses and rectifies malfunctions in aircraft systems and components, including solid-state and transistorized devices, following relevant technical manuals, directives, and safety procedures. Utilizes common and precision measuring tools, performs operational checks on aircraft electrical systems, and tests, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems test sets and diagnostic equipment. Assists the Customer in requisitioning and maintaining Shop and Bench stock items for repairing aircraft avionics systems and instruments. Performs operator maintenance on common and special tools, AGSE, and PGSE, prepares aircraft maintenance forms and records, and ensures all related operations are carried out safely.
During the 2nd shift efficiently conducts and oversees all Avionics Technician tasks.
