Our client, led by Partners with long years of experience in firms, is uniquely placed as an advisor to GPs and LPs in the European and North American landscape. This role involves working closely with senior team members to consult leading players in the alternative space.
As an Associate, you will work closely with European and North American GP and LP clients on projects focused on market (fundraising) readiness, investor/partner perceptions, and firm building initiatives (e.g., new product introductions, governance/succession, investor engagement) amongst others:
- Experience working closely in/with the Private Equity industry
- Desirable to have fund investing/due diligence experience
- Good understanding of the GP/LP landscape in Europe and/or North America
- Immaculate spoken and written English
- Strong analytical skills, able to interpret information quickly and efficiently
- Conducting research and due diligence in collaboration with team members
- Presenting findings and consultations to clients
- Actively participating in group discussions and broader decision-making on pipeline, client prospects, and active client engagements
- Working broadly across the team to help develop the business and its processes
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential alternative investment opportunities across various asset classes
- Analyze financial statements, business plans, and other relevant information to evaluate investment opportunities
- Assist in the due diligence process, including financial modeling, market analysis, and legal regulatory review
- Prepare investment memos and presentations to present to the investment committee
- Monitor and evaluate existing investments, including conducting performance analysis and making recommendations for portfolio management
- Develop and maintain relationships with external investment managers, advisers, and service providers
The Successful Applicant:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics or related fields
- At least 7 years of experience in alternative investments, with a focus on private equity, real estate or infrastructure
- Strong analytic and financial modeling skills
- Ability to analyze complex financial information
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
