A professional couple in the Gosforth area are seeking a Nanny for their baby who is due in August 2024. The family prefers a Nanny looking to make a long‑term commitment but is also open to those specialising in maternity nanny care who live locally and can commute.

Initially the role will involve night shifts and supporting the family in the early days. There is a separate bedroom and bathroom for the nanny on night shifts; note that this is not a live‑in role.

In the long term, the Nanny will work 30 hours a week across full days, including all usual nanny duties. Care will be shared with the mother while the father works away, and will evolve into more sole‑charge care when the mother’s maternity leave ends in 2025.

Other responsibilities include light housekeeping, meal preparation, caring for the family's medium‑sized friendly dog and driving with a own car.

• Excellent prior experience in sole‑charge nanny roles.
• Contactable references and a valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Unable to consider junior nannies.
• Must be able to act on own initiative, be proactive and have a good sense of humour.
• Good in caring for young babies and sensitive to new family needs.

• Start: September 2024
• Days: 3 days per week (Mon, Wed, Thu)
• Hours: 30 hours
• Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience
