Are you passionate about transforming data into meaningful insights that drive real business impact? We’re looking for a Service Data Analyst/Scientist to join our team at Elekta and play a pivotal role in delivering actionable intelligence through robust data analysis and statistical methodologies.
In this role, you will be responsible for analysing key service data across multiple platforms, ensuring accurate and efficient reporting. You’ll take ownership of the failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system (FRACAS), using data-driven insights to track performance trends and highlight areas for improvement. Your work will directly support product management, engineering, and service teams by identifying anomalies, escalating issues, and enabling strategic decisions.

What you’ll do at Elekta:
Your responsibilities will be (but are not limited to):
- Support the development of the company's data & analytics strategy and its alignment with the data governance.
- Create clear and concise visualisations that communicate data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency by developing data validation methods.
- Generate, resolve and track queries to address problematic data identified during data review activities and apply proper modification / correction to the data source.
- Increase the breadth and quality of data that is tracked, monitored and analyzed for both internal use and client reporting.
- Drive the development and enhancement of data models, algorithms, and statistical techniques.
- Analyse service data to determine case trends, failures and part consumption to inform and direct service strategies and improvements to drive down lifecycle costs and improve Cost of Quality.
- Provide modelling support for product proof of concept/value analysis, and engineering reviews of new and proposed product/part designs including cost benefit analysis.
- Create new techniques for data collecting activities to better improve the sourcing of lifecycle data from BI tools (i.e., Salesforce, M3, Intellimax) to increase accuracy of model outputs.
- Conduct reliability & availability analysis providing insights to support the failure reporting, working with technical specialists to interpret root cause analysis, failure mode effects analysis and failure mode effects criticality analysis, identifying risks to product reliability, identifying and recommending opportunities via reliability centered maintenance and condition-based maintenance for new and existing designs to deliver cost of non-quality reduction.
- Gather, analyse, and document clear and concise use cases and requirements from stakeholders, translating non-technical needs into technical specifications and vice versa, ensuring effective communication between business and development teams.
The right stuff:
- Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing data analytics projects and driving business outcomes.
- Strong experience in data analytics, including data manipulation, visualisation, and statistical analysis.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
- Strict attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in data management and visualisation tools.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Data Science or Mathematics.
- Experience in medical devices, healthcare technology, or complex industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, R, SQL, and Qlik Script is essential.
- Certifications for Azure Data Scientist Associate, Analytics Professional or Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst are a plus.
