DESCRIPTION

Amazon Kuiper is looking for an experienced, self-starter Sales and Business Development Professional to drive adoption of Kuiper services with large enterprise customers across multiple verticals (e.g., Energy, Manufacturing, M&E) in Europe.

You are responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and managing complex deals with multiple key accounts. You are responsible for managing the lifecycle of complex cross-functional customers, delivering outcomes with cross-organizational impact. You execute and define BD/Sales strategies that complement product strategy with limited oversight from others. You not only implement but also develop strategy for getting and delivering customer feedback.

You serve as a partner or thought leader for other Sales/BD teams on opportunities to contribute to the company. You contribute to strategic documents including but not limited to regional and vertical GTM and account plans. You own reporting on forecasting and planning the business impact of each opportunity, with a focus on actuals vs. plan targets.

You have the ability to deeply impact measurable business metrics and are able to close or significantly grow large or more complex medium-sized business opportunities.

This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining any required export licenses or other approvals from the United States government. As such, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain any necessary export licenses or approvals based on their nationality, citizenship, and any other factors considered by the applicable export control regulations.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Contribute to the build-out of Amazon Kuiper service revenue with specific focus on key enterprise customers in Europe.
  2. Be customer obsessed. Think on behalf of the customer and work to meet the customer's stated and unstated needs and aspirations.
  3. Execute strategic and tactical business development initiatives while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Amazon Kuiper product and engineering teams, legal, finance) and BD team colleagues.
  4. Be the internal coordinator supporting complex contract negotiations and complex business requirements and activities which deliver results.
  5. Adept at thinking strategically and analytically about business priorities, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to deliver target-based results working cross-organizationally.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communications including a passion for writing detailed strategic documents.
  7. Consistently exceeds key performance metrics and delivers results.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience as a senior executive in direct sales in the satellite industry selling to C-level executives.
  2. Consistently exceeds key performance metrics and delivers results.
  3. Experience working with emerging technology solutions and providers including experience with cloud computing technology.
  4. Experience driving consensus across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Experience working with product management or participating in technical integrations.
  6. Experience with development and support in negotiation of commercial frameworks.
  7. Must be able to articulate business value & technical approach.
  8. Excellent English language written and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
  2. Experience in one or more of the following industry sectors: Retail, M&E, Industrial/Manufacturing, Energy, Mining, Security, Public Sector.
  3. Direct experience in customer-facing role interacting with multinational customer organizations.
  4. Understanding of Cloud Services and Content delivery.
  5. Deep experience in satellite communications technologies and value adds.
