Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Waste Management Operative to join a food manufacturing team. The role involves collecting and disposing of waste while ensuring compliance with hygiene standards. Candidates must be reliable, able to work independently or in a team, and available to work outdoors in all weather conditions. This position offers a pay rate of £13.96 per hour and the chance for a full-time role with the company after successful completion of duties. Interviews will occur the week of 05/01/2026.

- Experience in waste management or food manufacturing is desirable but not essential.

- Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste materials in line with procedures.
- Ensure waste areas are emptied, cleaned, and maintained regularly.
- Monitor waste levels and report any issues to the supervisor.

Pay Rate: £13.96 per hour
Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM - 1:30 PM
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team in a waste management role within a food manufacturing environment. This position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. The role has the potential to lead to a full-time position with the company. Interviews will take place during the week commencing 05/01/2026.
- Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste materials in line with site procedures and environmental regulations.
- Ensure all waste bins and areas are regularly emptied, cleaned, and maintained to hygiene standards.
- Support recycling efforts by properly sorting recyclable materials.
- Monitor waste levels and report any overflows, contamination, or issues to the supervisor.
- Follow health and safety guidelines when handling waste, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Maintain cleanliness across site waste zones (internal and external).
- Work closely with production or warehouse teams to ensure timely and efficient waste removal.
- Complete relevant documentation or checklists as required.
- Operate any machinery or equipment related to waste disposal (training provided if required).
- Support the wider facilities or hygiene team as needed.
- Must be available to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience in waste management or food manufacturing is desirable but not essential.
