The Direct-to-Consumer team creates print and digital products for UK learners, meeting them at their point of need outside the classroom, with best-in-class learning experiences for Secondary Revision, primarily GCSE, and Primary Home Learning.

The role
We are looking for an Editorial and Content Lead for the Direct-to-Consumer Product Team. You’ll manage the delivery of innovative, high-quality and market-appropriate resources for the direct-to-consumer and schools’ revision market from authoring to publication.
In the role you will be utilising and developing both traditional and AI-driven content development processes to create and manage print and digital content. You will ensure that the quality and design of content is maintained throughout the production process, ensuring timely delivery according to scope, schedule, and budget. You will work closely with developers, CX and Product Management colleagues to work through the content requirements for digital platforms and products and for printed titles. You will also work closely with delivery managers to contract, manage and quality assure editorial and digital suppliers to deliver the scoped products. Our Product Executive will be able to support you in the administrative elements of your role.
The ideal candidate will be looking to work with more autonomy and leadership in innovative digital development, have a background in content development, editorial management and/or digital production, and want to lead in this area for a small team. You will need excellent project management skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to create outstanding quality content that delivers innovative learning experiences for the consumer market.
About you
You will have a strong editorial background (a minimum of two years’ experience) and might be looking for a high-level editorial role in which you can lead and innovate. You are great at building relationships cross-functionally and with suppliers. You want to be part of a high-performing team doing things differently and are willing to be the single voice leading on content development within the team. You will be interested in process innovation, developing digital content and how the editorial role and process should change in light of developments such as AI. You will also be able to proficiently manage an extensive set of print titles. You will be able to make calls about critical changes to existing content based on many factors such as accessibility and DE&I.
