Job Description

Accounts Assistant responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Maintaining records of invoices, payments, and transactions
  • Reconciling bank and ledger accounts
  • Providing administrative support to the Accounting & Finance department
  • Processing company expenditures and preparing expense reports
  • Collaborating with the Accounting & Finance team to manage company financial procedures
  • Assisting with budget preparation
  • Preparing VAT returns for the company

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

  • A foundation of accounting and financial knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational abilities
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with accounting software is advantageous
