We are seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to support our Maintenance Manager at our established star hotel in Jasper. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, technically skilled, and ready to help maintain our property's operations and guest comfort.

Responsibilities:
- Support the Maintenance Manager in daily operations and preventive maintenance
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining pool and hot tub systems, including chemical balance and equipment
- Help coordinate renovation projects and room upgrades
- Assist in maintaining critical systems including boilers and HVAC systems
- Follow and enforce safety regulations and building codes
- Supervise maintenance staff when Maintenance Manager is absent
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency situations
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records

Work conditions:
- Permanent, full-time
- In person
- Shift work, including nights, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to withstand climate conditions, if applicable
- Stand, bend, kneel for long periods
- Lift, push, pull 50lbs
- Comfortable at heights and in confined spaces

Requirements:
- Trade certification in plumbing or electrical
- 4 years maintenance experience
- 1 year supervisory experience
- Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
- Experience with basic repairs and maintenance
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Fluent English, written and verbal (2nd language an asset)
- Current valid work visa/permit, permanent residence status, or Canadian citizenship
- Criminal record check
- Driver’s abstract & 3-years insurance history

Preferred qualifications:
- Additional trade certifications
- Pool operation certification (training can be provided)
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience
- Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking
- Additional supervisory experience
