Cherubini Bridges and Structures, a member of the Cherubini Group of Companies, is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to work from our facility at 570 Wilkinson Avenue.
The ideal Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is a highly organized and detail-oriented team player, with a strong ability to manage schedules, track inventory, and maintain accurate records. They possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers, drivers, and internal teams, while also demonstrating problem-solving abilities to address logistical challenges or discrepancies.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator plays a critical role in managing the movement of materials and finished products, ensuring all processes align with safety standards and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety
- Actively participate in fostering a strong safety culture within the organization.
- Encourage safe practices among team members and support company safety initiatives.
- Shipping & Receiving
- Verify incoming raw material packing slips against purchase orders and coordinate with the Yard Foreman for proper offloading and storage.
- Process new shop issue sheets and work orders received from production as needed.
- Oversee the shipping of materials post-fabrication to designated locations.
- Arrange and coordinate trucking/shipment requirements and track shipments in transit.
- Manage purchase orders from the Purchasing team and arrange pickups, including for internal companies.
- Coordinate bolt shipments with the Stores Room.
- Prepare Bills of Lading (BOL) for fabricated loads ready for shipment.
- Manage trailer scheduling, including shipments and pickups, in coordination with the CMW transportation department and R&D Cranes.
- Work with the Yard Foreman to organize shipments of yard-stored materials.
- Administrative Duties
- Update FabSuite with new customers, job locations, and contact information as required.
- Print BOLs and prepare all necessary shipping documents.
- Communicate with customers or site contacts to confirm delivery acceptance and unloading capabilities.
- Notify stakeholders (e.g., Project Managers, Foremen, QBC, AZZ) regarding shipped materials, delivery locations, and statuses.
- Prepare customs documentation for international shipments.
- Receive courier shipments and redirect them to the appropriate personnel.
- Attach bolt lists from Purchasing to relevant shop issues (SIs).
- Maintain records of materials stored in the galvanizing area and coordinate shipments when needed.
- Perform daily filing and documentation tasks.
- Maintain ongoing communication with service providers (e.g., AZZ, QBC) regarding materials in process.
