Job description

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 8 Years of relevant experience in HVAC Design Engineer with offshore experience is a MUST.

Contract:
12 Months

Day-to-day Operations:

1. Carry out duties assigned by superior for day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
2. Prepare concept design input, preliminary or detailed design for HVAC systems.
3. Undertake design verification and calculations, as required.
4. Coordinate with design and drafting personnel for checking and issuing of drawings and design documents.
5. Provide estimation support.
6. Review vendor technical offers and compliance statements.
7. Attend model reviews with clients.
8. Prepare documentation for approval of Class and statutory bodies.
9. Conduct internal review, comment, and approval of design deliverables such as heat load calculation, equipment sizing calculation, room positive pressure calculation, D&IDs, airflow diagram, ducting layouts, P&IDs, chilled water flow diagram, piping layouts, ducting and pipe sizing calculation, ESP and head calculation, HVAC foundation and penetration layouts, yard typical installation practice for HVAC installation, HVAC equipment vendor data sheet, etc.
10. Pre-commissioning & commissioning of complete HVAC sub-systems designed for the projects.
11. Attend FAT in vendor's manufacturing plant for visual mechanical inspection and performance testing as needed by project requirements.
12. Attend HVAC System Site Acceptance Test (SAT) in yard.
13. Review client specifications and prepare clear scope matrix, raise TQ and clarifications.

Technical Competencies:

1. Exposure to HVAC design software, drafting & modelling tools.
2. Experience of marine & offshore HVAC codes, classification society rules, and statutory regulations.
3. Good coordination and presentation skills.
4. Ability to develop, interpret, and follow method statements and procedures, specifications, drawings, and all other discipline-related project and engineering documentation.
5. Thorough understanding of technical drawings, plans, and data.
6. Possess knowledge of MS Office applications.
