Your Day to Day

voco Orchard Singapore is seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Executive to be part of this exciting team. As Sales Executive, you will develop new sales opportunities and manage an assigned account base in order to generate revenue and maximize performance both for the short and long term in line with sales targets with guidance and supervision. You will maintain flexibility to perform other duties and projects as required and as directed by the leadership team as deemed necessary to support the Hotel’s overall business objectives.

• Manage assigned account base to meet targets for total revenue.
• Research market place to actively prospect and qualify potential new accounts.
• Develop relationships and maintain contact with key decision makers, influencers, meeting planners, event organisers, associations and other producers to produce group and/or convention business, room sales, food & beverage sales, and catering/banquet services.
• Maintain client files and update information daily in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures. Produce monthly sales-related reports and sales forecasts for assigned area of responsibility.
• Negotiate guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and/or hotel services within approved booking guidelines. Accurately produce and/or review all sales contracts and rate agreements.
• Monitor and report on sales activity undertaken and measurement of results through maintaining accurate records in the sales tools and action plans.
• Plan and prepare for sales visits, trade fairs, educational or familiarization groups to promote the hotel and develop potential business.
• Monitor competitor practices and accounts, monthly RGI scorecards and diagnostic tools in order to understand competitor trends.
• Provide administrative support to the team where required.
• Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and off-site presentations for potential clients.
• Entertain clients in accordance with established company and hotel policies and guidelines.

What We Need from You

• At least a Diploma in Marketing, Hospitality Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Sales within the hospitality industry.
• Experienced sales coordinators currently working in the industry are welcome to apply.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent Customer Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Results-Oriented & Highly Motivated.
• Great communication skills, both written and spoken in English.
• Independent and able to make good decisions.
• Proven ability to plan & execute events effectively with strong attention to detail.
