Responsibilities:
- Promotes and sells a portfolio of products and/or services and solutions directly to current and new customers
- Informs customers of new product/service introductions and prices
- Creates, monitors and revises lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline
- Responsible for products/services or territories/accounts that have moderate complexity
- Works within plan dictated by manager
- May train new team members and provide input to employee performance evaluations
- Continues to build knowledge of business, financials, products/services, the market or account
- Works with moderately complex territory/assigned accounts, products/services, sales or account management processes
- Has direct contact with clients and moderate authority/opportunity to set and negotiate product/service terms
- With guidance plans own territory or account approach and monitor resources
- Maintain service workshop facilities and equipment, make recommendations as required.
- Assist immediate superior for service workshop efficient operations and speedy delivery.
- Co-ordination of smooth running of the service workshop with service staff.
- Get involved in troubleshooting jobs; carry out important installation jobs at sites.
- Delegate and work along with the service technicians.
- Where applicable, make failure analysis reports of the seals received in the workshop.
- Support Application Engineering for finalising RCA of seal failures.
- As added responsibility, to handle few customers for business development/sales activities.
- Be a key member of inventory management.
- Proactively work on EagleBurgmann ERP systems, like SealCarePro, SAP ByD, etc.
- Prepare Initial and Final Inspection Reports, be involved in costing methods of the repair job wherever necessary.
- Should measure competitor seal parts and create drawings and submit to Application Engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Minimum 3-5 years technical experience working in the Mechanical Seal Industry.
- Have a good knowledge of Centrifugal Pumps, Agitators, Mixers, Blowers.
- A fair awareness of Centrifugal Compressors will be an added benefit.
- Have a good knowledge of Wet Mechanical Seals, Supply Systems and API 682 Standards.
- A fair knowledge of ANSI, Engineering Drawings, Limits & Fits Tolerances, etc.
- Ability to independently install mechanical seals.
- Ability to carry out mid-level troubleshooting at site.
- Good command over spoken and written English. A knowledge of spoken Arabic will be an advantage.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Appropriate computer and IT systems skills/knowledge (MS Office, Document Management, etc.)
