Our team in Italy is seeking a talented and experienced Data Center Operations and Facility Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our state-of-the-art data centers and ensure the highest standards of service, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage Data Center Operations: Oversee the efficient operation of our data center facilities, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
2. Facility Maintenance: Lead regular facility maintenance, including power systems, cooling, HVAC, and backup systems to guarantee high availability.
3. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes continuous improvement.
4. Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement monitoring systems to ensure uptime, minimize downtime, and optimize energy usage.
5. Incident Management: Respond to and resolve data center incidents, ensuring that issues are promptly addressed, and proper documentation is maintained.
6. Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage the data center’s operational budget, including equipment procurement, resource allocation, and cost reduction initiatives.
7. Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors for the procurement, maintenance, and support of data center equipment and services.
8. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to local regulations and international standards, and manage reporting on operational metrics and performance.
9. Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and enforce business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in data center operations or facility management, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and data center environments.
2. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with power distribution, cooling systems, UPS, and network infrastructure; proficiency in data center management tools.
3. Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and managing a team of engineers, technicians, and vendors.
4. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills in data center environments.
5. Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Data Center Management, HVAC, Electrical Engineering) are highly desirable.
6. Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
7. Languages: Proficiency in English is required; Italian language skills are a plus.
