• Driving the optimisation of lending decisions through test and learn initiatives to identify champion strategies for existing customers
• Establishing a credit risk framework – incorporating risk monitoring and feedback processes – to ensure appropriate decisioning for both customers and the business within the risk appetite
• Investigating and developing new data sources including open banking data to be used for analysis and decisioning
• Influencing stakeholders across the business – ranging from peers to Senior Management – to gain buy-in and support to deliver change as required
• Supporting business growth and portfolio profitability – ensuring a balance between risk, reward and responsible lending – while controlling credit quality and performance
• Providing colleagues with opportunities to succeed, devoting dedicated time to empowering people through coaching, mentoring and sharing expertise and knowledge

• Expert in developing strategies as part of a Credit Risk function
• Expert in new business strategies for both revolving and structured credit
• Extensive experience of key activities such as development and implementation of scorecards, strategy rules and affordability assessments, coupled with an overview of a typical customer journey and touchpoints
• Familiar with the existing regulatory and economic landscapes, with working knowledge of CONC obligations and an overview of wider macro-economic environment and trends
