Job description

HR Associate Private Equity - £55k - £60k
Carnegie Consulting London, United Kingdom

Posted: 2 days ago | Type: Hybrid Job Permanent | Salary: GBP55000 - GBP60000 per annum + good bonus

My client is a major European Private Equity firm with a considerable London office based in Central London.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an HR Associate to pretty much run the London office by being the right hand person of the HR Director who is often travelling globally.

This is not a Manager level role as there is no one to manage. However, the scope of responsibilities means that you will be the go-to person for HR matters and you will have the experience, confidence, and initiative to find out answers from internal and external sources. You'll also know when things are above your pay grade and when you must escalate.

In effect, this is a stand-alone role looking after the employee life cycle of the London office. This includes supervising the outsourced payroll, although little previous experience is needed as the present HR Director is on hand to guide through the process.

In short, this is an excellent opportunity for an HR Assistant or HR Administrator to take the next step towards more responsibility.

The Role will include but not be limited to:

  • Managing the employee life cycle
  • Managing the day-to-day HR operations
  • Ensuring recruitment is efficient and the candidate handling process is well managed.
  • Managing monthly payroll (run through 3rd party provider)
  • Acting as the first point of contact for ER and any other HR queries.

The Candidate will:

  • Have at least 4, probably 5 - 7 years of HR experience, with most of that being within financial services. The strongest candidates will come from PE, Investment Management, or Hedge Funds.
  • Have a track record of staying with an employer for at least 3 years.
  • Have an understanding of UK labour laws, best HR policies, and practices.
  • Have a strong familiarity with SMCR.
  • Experience of SAP Success Factors is a plus.

This role is 4 days in the office and 1 working from home.

There can be no visa sponsorship for this position.
