We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Sanctions Manager Advisory.
This is a senior role in the HSBC UK Sanctions team reporting to the Head of Sanctions, HSBC UK and supporting in the delivery of sanctions risk stewardship and advice across the HSBC UK Wealth & Personal Banking (WPB) and Commercial Banking (CMB) business. The role purpose is to provide risk stewardship oversight and advice in relation to the sanctions control framework for HSBC UK.
As Senior Sanctions Manager Advisory, you will be a subject matter expert on sanctions risk management and compliance with sanctions regimes imposed by the UK, European Union (EU), United Nations (UN) and USA, and HSBC Group Financial Crime Policy.
You will advise on and provide risk management recommendations in relation to customers and transactions with a sanctions nexus, support Compliance and CMB/WPB line of business teams through the provision of sanctions advice and training, provide advice and determination of controls designed to mitigate sanctions risk with respect to customer relationships, transactions and products and lead and co-ordinate regulatory reporting for HSBC UK with regards to sanctions reporting.
