Job Title: CNC Maintenance Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of CNC machinery, with a particular focus on DMG Mori and Doosan machines. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer looking for flexibility in contract type, with opportunities for progression to a permanent role based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on CNC machines, particularly DMG Mori and Doosan models.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults in CNC machinery.
• Conduct tooling maintenance and servicing to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and ensure smooth operational flow.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work carried out and parts used.
• Adhere to health and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
• Collaborate with external service providers when specialist support is required.
• Assist in continuous improvement projects to enhance machine efficiency and reliability.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong working knowledge of DMG Mori and Doosan CNC machines would be advantageous but not essential.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
