Job Description:
OBJECTIVE:
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in accordance with safety protocols and production schedules.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure timely and efficient resolution of electrical issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of mechanical and electrical systems, components, and machinery.
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to effectively troubleshoot and address electrical malfunctions.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential hazards, faulty equipment, and opportunities for optimization in compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, installations, and upgrades as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status, utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Monitor and manage inventory of electrical spare parts, tools, and supplies to ensure availability for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Stay up to date with advancements in electrical technology, regulations, and industry best practices to drive innovation and efficiency within the team.
- Support Maintenance Manager with reporting all changes/updates needed to keep the TPM program running efficiently.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to coordinate and complete any equipment or utility installations safely while staying on target with project deadlines.
- Participate in the Emergency Response Team and the Safety Committee.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The work environment is not temperature controlled and the employee may be exposed to high heat work conditions.

The employee must frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposure to moderate noise levels is probable.
TRAVEL:
- Semi frequent short distance, and infrequent long distance travel may be required.
- Travel and interaction between Meteor Creative facilities may be required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities.
- Automotive manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Manufacturing experience is required.
- 3 - 5 Years of Management Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY:
- Effective attention to detail, problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills are required.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, controls, and components commonly used in automotive manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Solid knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety protocols relevant to industrial environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Experience and demonstrated familiarity with PLCs.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, overtime, and respond to emergency situations as required.
