We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Purchase and Sales Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. As a Purchase and Sales Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records related to purchases and sales transactions. Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will play a critical role in ensuring the financial stability of our firm.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Verify and reconcile purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
3. Collaborate with the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to resolve discrepancies.
4. Maintain a well-organized and up-to-date ledger system.
5. Generate and review financial reports related to purchase and sales ledger activities.
6. Communicate professionally with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.
7. Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
8. Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
9. Identify opportunities to streamline and improve purchase and sales ledger processes.
10. Recommend and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

1. Studying AAT or a relevant field is preferred.
2. Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Proven experience in purchase and sales ledger roles.
5. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
8. Discretion and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
