Senior Full Stack Developer

Northstrat is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both back-end and front-end development, bringing a wealth of knowledge in multiple programming languages and frameworks. This role demands a self-starter who can take vaguely defined tasks and independently deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance applications.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
3. Utilize Java, including JEE and REST web services, for back-end development.
4. Implement and optimize front-end applications using JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and Node.js.
5. Work with Oracle, MySQL, or Postgres databases.
6. Operate within Linux environments.
7. Apply Agile software development methodologies in your work.
8. Support the entire product lifecycle from requirements analysis to deployment.
9. Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging.
10. Contribute to architectural decisions and the evolution of our tech stack.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Must have 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong Java skills, including JEE and REST web services.
• Experience with Oracle, MySQL, or Postgres.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java.
• Familiarity with Linux environments.
• Experience with Java microservice application and interface design and development.
• Non-internship professional software development experience of 2+ years.
• Understanding of Agile Scrum practices and traditional waterfall projects.
• Must have an active or current Top-Secret clearance with SCI access (TSSCI).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Continuous Integration and Automated Testing using tools like Jenkins/Hudson, Selenium, JUnit, etc.
• Knowledge of Java Instrumentation and Performance Monitoring.
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Understanding of server virtualization using VMWare.
• Web development skills in HTML5, JavaScript, Flash, JSP, GWT, or other frameworks.

Pay Range

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. We also offer competitive compensation, benefits, and professional development opportunities.

Flex Time

Northstrat does not mandate specific working hours. Although project requirements may dictate schedules, a Northstrat employee is only required to work an average of 8 hours per weekday over the course of a month.
