We are looking for a Working Student Software Tester who is passionate about mobile apps and supports delivering the best user experience to our users.

After founding the company in 2014, KptnCook became Germany's leading food & shopping app. We won several international awards like the Google Material Design Award 2018 and German Design Award 2020 and help hundreds of thousands of users to become better cooks at home every day. Currently, we are a team of around 48 based in Berlin Neukölln.

You’re passionate about great food, have a keen eye for detail, and want to make sure digital experiences are smooth and enjoyable? If so, you could be the perfect addition to our QA team as a Software Tester!
Bring together your love for food, technology, and user experience, work in a dynamic and creative environment, and help us deliver high-quality solutions that inspire hundreds of thousands of users to lead healthier lives!

1. You contribute to the quality of the overall user experience of the KptnCook app and the optimization of our quality assurance processes.
2. You collaborate with our customer support team to identify and solve potential technical issues.
3. You work closely with our mobile developers to prepare and accompany our app releases.
4. You manage the test activities according to our QA strategy and the test plan.
5. By testing the app regularly, you ensure that the delivered function corresponds to the product and the quality requirements (Android & iOS app).
6. You monitor and report potential problems with applications and services.

1. You’re studying computer science, IT, or similar subjects.
2. You’re a software development and software quality enthusiast.
3. You’re familiar with iOS and Android apps.
4. You’re familiar with the names of standard UI elements.
5. You already have some experience in writing bug tickets.
6. You’re familiar with basic concepts of the software development lifecycle.
7. You have a general interest in mobile apps and software quality issues.
8. You’re eager to learn new things and adapt to a dynamic work environment.

1. Knowledge about MongoDB (beginner level) and databases in general.
2. Knowledge of APIs and their documentation.
3. Experience with tools like Paw or Postman.
