High‑Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) is a key enabler for a carbon‑neutral energy system. By joining the HVDC team in Germany (DEHVDC) you will contribute to the energy transition in Germany and around the world.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Site HSE Specialist (f/m/d). In this role you will coordinate and oversee all HSE activities on site.

• Support the project team in the preparation, set‑up and improvement of the construction site‑specific HSE system.
• Participate in the review and assist in the development of safety documentation (e.g. Risk Assessment/Method Statements and Permit to Work).
• Act as the HSE focal point to the site project and management and coordinate with all frontline managers regarding HSE matters.
• Ensure leading/lagging indicators are collated and reported to allow for KPI/Performance reports to be generated.
• Work in cooperation with other stakeholders; establishing and maintaining close contact with the Client and Subcontractor HSE representatives.
• Be involved in coordinating activities on site to ensure they are planned and performed in accordance with established HSE requirements.
• Provide guidance and advice on matters relating to HSE for on‑site personnel.
• Lead site incident investigations to ensure a root cause and preventative/corrective actions are identified and that all information is suitably collated within the Company Incident Management System.

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience (≥3 years) in an HSE role, preferably within the energy construction or heavy industry sectors.
• Recognised HSE certifications (e.g. NEBOSH, OSHA, VBG, Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit) are highly desirable.
• In‑depth knowledge of German HSE regulations (e.g. Arbeitsschutzgesetz, Störfall‑Verordnung) and relevant international standards (e.g. ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation techniques and root‑cause analysis.
• Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic fast‑paced site environment.
• Willingness to travel to various project sites within Germany as required.
