Highlights
Overview
The role will be caring for 6-year-old B/G twins, primarily supporting the little boy who has hyperactivity, developmental delays, and ADHD, alongside another nanny who will help with support for the little girl. The boy is supported by a team of therapists. He has good language but needs firm boundaries and a nanny who can support with behaviour. If the nanny has training in SEN this would be advantageous. Communication with the parents and the child’s therapists is very important and the nanny needs to be skilled in this area.
If the nanny is not needed to attend meetings or carry out child-related duties, they can take this time during the day for themselves and go to the gym, etc.
The family would provide visas for working in Dubai. They travel regularly (including to the UK which can be every few months) and this can often be spontaneous, so the nanny needs to be very flexible. The family is looking for someone who will commit to at least 2 years to provide the child with stability and continuity of approach.
The family are looking for an active and energetic nanny with demonstrable experience of working with children with SEN. The candidate should be able to fit well into the family and offer them support. Experience working in an intergenerational family setup would be an additional bonus.
The family is happy to offer flexibility; for example, if the nanny has people visiting them in Dubai, the family would be happy for the nanny to change their days off to spend time with their visitors. This would only be possible after the first 4-6 weeks to ensure the nanny has settled into the role and started to build that relationship with the child and his family.
