The Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team's work spans across a broad and diverse range of functions and workstreams, including government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships; and corporate social responsibility. The mission of the Global Public Policy team is to prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok and to promote a political, legislative, and regulatory environment that supports growth and innovation for our business.
The Deputy Director of Government Relations and Public Policy for Middle East, Trkiye, Africa, Pakistan & South Asia sits within the METAPSA (GR) team and will be supporting managing the overall regional policy issues and crisis management. This role reports into the Director of Government Relations and Public Policy - Middle East, Trkiye, Africa, Pakistan & South Asia.
S/he must have experience in the areas of policy assessment, risk management as well as strong and proven leadership and organizational skills. A demonstrated interest and/or experience working in a similar tech company is preferable. The candidate should be a highly flexible problem-solver with strong communication skills enabling her or him to work alongside a diverse set of stakeholders internally and where needed externally. S/he will also be required to demonstrate the ability to work independently and with agility in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
