A sixth-form college in Kings Cross with a large provision for students with MLD, SLD, Autism and behavioural needs is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team to support a student on a 1 to 1 basis.
The Role
In this Learning Support Worker role, you will be supporting a student who has learning disabilities and behaviour difficulties on a 1 to 1 basis. The student requires personalised support to access learning and development sessions throughout the college day.

The successful candidate will undertake five days of training provided by the Local Authority prior to starting the position.
Person Specification:
This role is offered on a full-time (5 days a week) basis and, whilst initially offered on a contract basis, will become a permanent position for the right candidate.
The Centre
This specialist centre is based in Camden and is part of a larger post-16 London college. The centre currently provides education and care support to around 50 young people aged 16 to 25 with profound and multiple or severe learning difficulties, complex autism, and/or physical difficulties. There is a dedicated and experienced management and staff team in place at the centre, and they have excellent training and development programmes. The centre operates during term-time only and is easily accessible via public transport.
The Centre is open to applications from both experienced learning support assistants/support workers and those with a positive and caring attitude looking to pursue a career supporting young people in Special Educational Needs.
