About the Role

We support from planning to implementation of reliable process chains by understanding all the needs and requirements and making individual solutions possible.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our DP World Contract Logistics site for an experienced customer services advisor to join our team in Stanford le Hope, Essex. This position is essential to our company's ability to create and maintain relationships and service with our clients to keep them satisfied and returning. This is an on-site position, working Monday through to Friday.

In this role, you'll provide comprehensive support to both internal and external customers, handling calls, answering queries, and coordinating with carrier partners for delivery updates; this support will predominantly be face to face. You'll also offer administrative support, liaise with internal teams, and facilitate daily update meetings via Teams, all while aiming to reduce customer queries and build strong professional relationships. Our ideal candidate will have exceptional customer-facing skills and proven customer experience.

Location: Stanford le Hope, Essex

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri)

Contract: Permanent

How You will Contribute

  • Provide support and assistance with both internal & external customers
  • Monitor incoming/outgoing calls daily
  • Answer customer queries within a timely manner
  • Work with carrier/haulier partners for delivery updates, incidents & PODs
  • Provide an excellent level of customer service with a long-term aim of reducing customer queries/complaints
  • Provide administrative support for any customer reporting requirements
  • Liaise with internal partners
  • Ability to use own initiative to support problem solving
  • Build professional relationships with all partners
  • Provide delivery information to customers and carriers
  • Other ad hoc tasks in support of the operation as directed/requested
  • Work with various existing customers and support new business solutions
  • Ability to be on Teams platform with camera, for meetings with customers, hauliers, and internal departments
  • Facilitate Teams calls with customers on daily update meetings

What you will bring

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic high school education with exam passes in English and Mathematics
  • College qualifications beneficial but not essential

EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent customer service and telephone manner
  • PC literacy with understanding of Outlook, Excel, Word, File formatting
  • The ability to use/learn software packages that are applicable to the job
  • Ability to prioritise, work independently and reach defined targets
  • Good interpersonal skills - able to deal with people at all levels
  • Passionate about delivering customer service excellence
  • Positive and can-do attitude
  • Diligent, organised and attention to detail in approach
