  • Drive compliance projects: Support key compliance initiatives, including updating our Record of Processing Activities (ROPA), assisting with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and helping to set up a scalable AI governance framework.
  • Support our marketing and brand efforts: Provide legal guidance to our Marketing team by reviewing marketing scripts, advertising claims, and marketing contracts, ensuring our campaigns are both effective and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Advance legal operations: Assist in creating contract templates, playbooks, and self-service tools that make compliance and contracting faster and easier across the organization.
  • Champion legal education: Design and deliver targeted training to boost legal literacy and confident decision‑making throughout trivago.
  • Expand your scope: Take on emerging and interdisciplinary topics such as intellectual property, or litigation management with appropriate guidance.
What you'll need to thrive

  • Privacy- and AI‑savvy: You're confident navigating privacy laws and emerging AI regulations in a practical, business‑centric way.
  • Generalist mindset: Solid grounding in commercial law, complemented by experience or strong interest in areas like IP, privacy, litigation, and emerging tech regulation.
  • Strong English fluency: Able to explain nuanced legal concepts in clear, accessible English to a global audience.
  • Ownership mindset: Proactive, solutions‑focused, and comfortable working on projects both independently and collaboratively.
